MSAC Softball Tournament Bracket Announced

Commissioner Jim Hamric today announced the bracket for the annual MSAC Softball Tournament. The tournament will be held on April 29th and 30th at Little Creek Park in South Charleston, WV. All 10 member schools will be participating.

Seeds were determined by the results of the first meeting between conference schools this season. All schools played the required 9 conference games. Ties in record were broken by the head to head result between schools.

The seeds are as follow: 1) Hurricane 9-0 ; 2) Cabell Midland 7-2; 3) St. Albans 7-2; 4) Spring Valley 6-3; 5) South Charleston 6-3; 6) George Washington 4-5; 7) Parkersburg 3-6; 8) Huntington 2-7; 9) Capital 1-8; 10) Riverside 0-9.

Tickets Now On-Sale for MSAC Softball Tournament

Tickets for the MSAC Softball Tournament are now available for purchase. The tournament will be held on April 29th and 30th at Little Creek Park in South Charleston, WV. Games on Friday begin at 4:30 PM. Saturday’s games will begin at 10 AM. A full bracket will be available by Thursday, April 27th and posted on our website ( .

All tickets will be sold and validated digitally for the event on a mobile device. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for students. A ticket is good for all that day’s games. Fans should seek a hand stamp if they plan to leave the park and return.

Tickets may be purchased on the GoFan app on Apple devices or at  (note: .co not .com) on an Android device or mobile browser. Search for South Charleston High School. Fans are urged to purchase their tickets in advance if planning on attending. Tickets will be validated on the purchaser’s phone.
We will have an iPad and card reader available for those individuals who may need to purchase tickets at the gate. A credit or debit card is required for purchase. There will be no cash ticket sales. Fans purchasing at the gate will likely be directed to a parking lot to complete their ticket purchase in order to facilitate traffic flow.


Commissioner Jim Hamric today announced the dates, times, sites, and formats for the Spring 2022 MSAC championship events. They are:

Boys and Girls Tennis– April 18 at Parkersburg City Park April 19 rain date

Softball– April 29 & 30 at Little Creek Park in South Charleston ( all teams will play at least 2 games and play both days–Single elimination with a losers bracket for placements)

Baseball- Monday & Tuesday. May 2 & 3 at Power Park in Charleston
Monday games at 3:00, 5:30 & 8:00- (9 vs 10, 2 vs 3, 1 vs 4)
Tuesday games at 3:00, 5:30 & 8:00- (7 vs 8, 5 vs 6, championship-winner of 2/3 & 1/4)
We will use a rolling start-30 minutes between games-times are apprx, except 3:00
Wednesday May 4- rain date

Track- Thursday, May 5 at Laidley Field- 4:30–One session meet-all events are final-no preliminaries or qualifiers, each event scores 1st thru 6th

The Mountain State Athletic Conference has set the dates for the 7 on 7 football tournament on June 14, 16 & 18. The format is as follows:
Tuesday, June 14 @ 4pm at the following regional sites:
Huntington HS-Billy Seals, Director
South Charleston HS-Carl Lee, Director
Capital HS (on campus facility)-Mark Mason, Director
Hurricane HS-Donnie Mays, Director
Thursday, June 16 @ 4pm @ St Albans HS-Willie Washington, Director
MSAC teams only
7 on 7 and Linemen competition
Saturday, June 18 @ 12N at Riverside HS-Todd Chevalier, Director
Finals of top 2 teams from each Regional site-varsity only
Top 2 teams of Linemen activities from each Region-varsity only
10am-QB/Rec challenge
All MSAC teams plus invited teams will participate.
