Commissioner Jim Hamric has announced the 2025 All-MSAC Girls Soccer Team. George Washington’s Mia Lough was named Player of the Year while George Washington’s Ali Sadeghian was Coach of the Year. The team was selected by a vote of league coaches and is as follows:

CHEER: Hurricane Wins 2025 MSAC Championship

Hurricane High School has won the 2025 MSAC Championship in Cheer. The competition was held on October 25th at Hurricane High School. Woodrow Wilson was the runner-up. Full ratings for the competition are:

Cabell Midland High School has won the 2025 MSAC Volleyball Championship. The tournament was held on Saturday, October 25th at Parkersburg High School. Cabell Midland defeated Spring Valley in the championship game. Full team standings for the tournament are:

CROSS COUNTRY: Cabell Midland Wins 2025 Boys and Girls MSAC Championships

Cabell Midland High School has won both the Boys and Girls 2025 MSAC Cross Country Championships. The MSAC meet was held on Saturday, October 11th at Ona,WV. Kyle Peters of Woodrow Wilson won the Boys race while Savannah Pritt of George Washington won the Girls race. Peters and Pritt were named “MSAC Runners of the Year” in their division in recognition of their achievements. Chris Parsons of Cabell Midland was named both the Boys and Girls MSAC Coach of the Year. Team scores and the All-MSAC teams are as follows:

Boys and Girls Coach of the Year – Chris Parsons – Cabell Midland

SOCCER: Hurricane Boys and George Washington Girls Win 2025 MSAC Championships

Hurricane High School’s Boys and George Washington High School’s Girls have won the 2025 MSAC Soccer Championships. Boys and Girls championship and placement matches were held on Thursday, October 2nd at campus sites.

In the Boys championship, Hurricane defeated Cabell Midland in overtime on kicks (5-4) after regulation play ended with a score of 0-0. George Washington defeated Hurricane by a score of 2-0 in the Girls championship match.
