The MSAC is excited to welcome back Beckley Woodrow Wilson High School as a member of our conference! WWHS will begin participation during the 2025-2026 school year. Due to existing MSAC scheduling commitments, Woodrow Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Basketball and Baseball and Softball will be added to the MSAC conference schedule in 2026-2027. WWHS Football will be fully integrated into conference scheduling in 2027-2028. All other sports will compete for conference championships in 2025-2026. Woodrow Wilson originally joined the MSAC in Fall 2004 and exited membership in Spring 2020.

Cabell Midland High School has won the 2025 Carlton Gandee Award. The Gandee Award goes to the school that ranks highest in average highest finish in all sports championships offered by the MSAC and represents the conference’s all-sports championship. Hurricane High School finished second while George Washington High School was third. The award is named for Carlton Gandee who was the first commissioner of the MSAC.

Huntington High School has won both the Boys and Girls 2025 MSAC Championships in Track and Field. The MSAC Meet was held on Friday, May 9th at Laidley Field in Charleston. Huntington’s Siraye Harper and Mallory Dunn-Martin were Girls High Point Winners with 25 points each. George Washington’s Alexander Petersen was Boys High Point Winner scoring 28 points. Huntington’s Justin Cox was Girl’s Coach of the Year and Huntington’s Justin Rose was Boys Coach of the Year. Team standings are as follows:

Hurricane High School Boys and Huntington High School Girls have won the 2025 MSAC Championships in Tennis. The tournament was held April 22nd at City Park in Parkersburg. Huntington’s Thomas Cisco was Girls Coach of the Year while Hurricane’s Andy Ball was Boys Coach of the Year. Team standings and All-MSAC TEAM members are as follows:
